Ministers of Hospitality

The Ministers of Hospitality welcome all who enter our church for weekend liturgies. Parishioners and visitors to our parish are greeted with a smile, a handshake, or even a hug in our Gathering Space. Singles, couples, and families are all part of the households that participate in this ministry. A smile, a firm handshake, and the ability to offer a warm greeting are the only requirements!

These ministers are also responsible for:

• Welcoming people who enter the church
• Assisting people to seats, as necessary
• Passing the collection baskets through the congregation at the Preparation of Gifts and depositing the money into the safe after Mass.
• Setting up extra chairs to accommodate larger crowds for holidays or special occasion Masses.
• Assisting with any medical problem or other disturbance, and contacting emergency services if medical assistance is required.
• Straightening up hymnals and pews after Mass.

Training is provided.
