Pastoral Leadership

Pastoral Council
The Pastoral Council is an advisory group designated to assist the pastor in fulfilling the parish’s mission and providing for the necessary ministries. Members representing certain committees within the parish are either elected or appointed for a specific term, usually two years.

Must be an active and committed supporter of our parish in time, talent and treasure. The Pastoral Council meets every other month for 2 hours, with some study materials sent out ahead.

Finance Council
The Finance Council is an advisory group that aids the pastor in the stewardship of the parish’s financial resources. Those with skills in finance, building and grounds, personnel, budgeting or management who have been actively involved in the parish are eligible.

Must be a committed supporter of our parish in time, talent and treasure. A commitment of 2 years is required with meetings quarterly for 2 hours, with some study of materials sent out ahead.

Stewardship Committee
As Christian stewards, we receive God’s gifts gratefully, cultivate them responsibly, share them lovingly in justice with others, and return them with increase to the Lord. The Stewardship committee assists St. Francis of Assisi into becoming a total stewardship parish, that is, a parish that embraces stewardship as a way of life. This is accomplished through education (stewardship is more than money), encouraging parishioners to volunteer, and coordinating the annual renewal Sunday.

Must be an active and committed supporter of our parish in time, talent and treasure. Monthly meetings last about 1.5 hours.
