Parish Events
Fall Festival
The Fall Festival is usually held the first weekend of October. Chairs of the Fall Festival play an important role in the organization and oversight of this event. Subcommittees include Publicity, Country Store, Dinner, Children’s Games, Big Ticket Raffle, Silent Auction, and more. Volunteers of all ages are needed to make the Fall Festival a successful parish event. Time commitment varies.
Dinner Theatre
The Dinner Theatre is both a parish fundraiser and an important social event at St. Francis of Assisi Church. There are many areas for involvement: actors, musicians, set builders, props and costumes, stagehands, light and sound specialists, make-up, publicity, and much more. Time commitment varies. All are welcome.
Annual Rummage Sale
The annual St. Francis of Assisi Rummage Sale is held on the second Friday/Saturday in August. Approximately 85 parishioners are needed each summer to sort, repair, price, display items and help with the sale. Other volunteer opportunities include accepting donated goods, publicity, set-up, and providing refreshments for purchase during the sale. All offers of assistance are appreciated. Time commitment varies.
Special Events
Parish events require many hands to make work light. Roles can include coordinator, meal serving, baking, setup or cleanup, ticket selling or phone calling. |
